It was a hot May afternoon, but a beautiful day for an airshow. Chris Ann and I had been out till 3AM the night before at a Firehouse concert out of town. So needless to say we were a tad bit hungover. The show was great. We got to go to MacDill AFB where I work every day. I got to show Chris Ann where I worked. It was an experience going to one of these shows. You get to go inside a lot of the planes, and even meet the flight crew and pilots. A lot of the planes fly during the airshow too so it was really neat. Some of the planes are just for static display only. There were many armed guards all over the place... actually military police with M-16's and hand guns. So we felt pretty safe, yet ironically taken back a little scared by it. I enjoyed the FA-18 Super Hornet flights the best. As far as the static displays of aircraft, I liked the MH-53M Long-Range Special Ops Helicopter the best.
